Martha Stewart rumored to be buying Goody’s

Posted on November 4, 2002 by Bjorn Knoxley

Knoxville, TN:

October 3, 2002 Martha Stewart resigns from the New York Stock Exchange, board officials said.

October 4, 2002 A group of shareholders has filed a complaint against Goody’s over the proposed sale of the company.

Martha Stewart’s resignation from the New York Stock Exchange left a gaping hole in the decorating diva’s daily routine, leading to speculation as to what would be the next step in her empire building. As rumors begin to swirl about her next conquest a group of shareholders have filed a complaint against Goody’s over the proposed sale of the company.

It doesn’t take extra sensory perception to see a link between the two news stories. The allure of Goody’s was simply more than Martha could handle. Based on her smarmy attitude and holier than-thou-attitude it’s clear why Goody’s shareholders would not want the company in her hands. Should further details be unearthed updates will be available here at Knoxpatch.com.

A spokeswoman for Stewart had no immediate comment.
