Last night’s Oak Ridge City Council meeting is one to remember. Nothing on the agenda was out of the ordinary, but during heated discussion about how best to execute a preemptive strike against Claxton, Bud Sherbet stood to his feet. After hesitating for a few seconds, he began jumping up and down, yelling “I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill, KILL, KILL.” Pretty soon, half the council was jumping up and down with him, yelling “KILL, KILL!” The meeting was adjourned abruptly after Sherbet sang a bar of Alice’s Restaurant and walked out.
