In an unexpected twist, a Claxton resident has claimed ‘Squatter’s Rights’ to take the Bull Run Fossil Plant from TVA. “When TVA made news recently with an attempt to buy 175 acres of land in Claxton, it got me to thinking,” explains Ima Jeane. “I’ve been living here in the coal for the past 12 years. My understanding is that this here coal pile is now mine.”
TVA has not responded to Ima Jean’s accusations, as they have been very busy dropping millions of tons of coal ash in the general location that Ima Jean was last seen.
