Gas station raises prices

Posted on April 1, 2003 by Bjorn Knoxley
Fuel prices are rising.

In response to the rising threat of war in the middle east, gas station owner Tom Ridgedale has raised prices at his South Knoxville station. The price increase affects all grades of fuel, including premium, and he canceled his four cent discount on Thursdays. The governor’s office has yet to release warnings to stations not to increase their prices, but according to customers, they should intervene quickly, before his prices get much higher. “I have to make a living,” said Ridgedale in response to complaints. One customer, Jennifer Ferngilly, said she normally uses premium but can no longer afford it. “I don’t have any kids yet, and he won’t take credit any more,” she said. “Although I like Shell products, I may have to go across the street to the BP now.”
