Knoxville July 4th fireworks moved to Pete DeBusk’s house

Posted on July 3, 2011July 3, 2011 by Brehd Patchley

Safety concerns and fears of fire nearly forced the cancellation of fireworks celebrations in Knoxville this year, but a new venue was found at the last minute. Pete DeBusk, of DeRoyal Industries, has offered up a portion of his home for the fireworks celebration. “I have a couple spare bedrooms that are almost as big as Downtown Knoxville,” said Pete. “Sure, I’ll have to repaint after all the fireworks, but it’ll be worth it so that everyday people can enjoy the 4th.”

Cute. For the record, when I worked for a non-profit, DeRoyal never turned down a request for a donation of money, products or volunteers.
