Knoxville News Sentinel to replace comics with links

Posted on July 1, 2011 by Bjorn Knoxley

Due to the overwhelming volume of Letters to the Editor that results from any change to the comics section, and to be much more inclusive, the comics section of the Knoxville News Sentinel will soon feature only strip titles with links to the strips’ official websites. An anonymous source from the paper explained that the new format will be able to include over 6000 comic strips in the same amount of space currently being utilized. The few Knoxpatch residents who would go on record as actually reading the paper didn’t seem to care one way or the other. “We read it all online anyway,” said Mark Paydirt. The change will roll out with the redesign scheduled for July 18.
