Man cost-justifies office mini-fridge

Posted on March 24, 2004 by Bjorn Knoxley

Dan Baker was tired of paying fifty cents a can for Mountain Dew. Additionally, he hated having to get up and weave his way through 200 yards of hallways to reach the machine. So he calculated, based upon the cost of a 12-pack vs. the cost of cans from the machine, that he could save $3 per 12 cans. After finding the mini-fridge he wanted for his office, he determined that he would, roughly, need to drink at least one Mountain Dew per day for a year to pay for the fridge. To make up for weekends, when he wouldn’t be at the office, he decided that drinking three a day would speed up the payoff. His wife is presently shopping for larger clothes for his upcoming birthday.
