The 2nd annual

Posted on July 1, 2004 by Bjorn Knoxley

The 2nd annual “By the Rivers of Babylon, A Celebration of Cultures in a Time of Continued Turmoil” festival has been scheduled for June 19th 2004 at the Sacred Heart Complex in Knoxville, Tennessee.

At least five hundred individuals attended the festival in 2003, introducing the Knoxville community to the wonderful treasures of Middle Eastern Culture in the form of music, art and delectable food. In light of current world events, the planning committee has chosen to continue the tradition once again this year.

The festival, which aims to increase understanding of the culture and perspective of the middle-eastern region, will feature a variety of educational and entertainment events, including panel discussions, children’s activities, music and dancing, and regional delicacies. All events are free to the public. The festival offers the Knoxville community a unique chance to explore and understand the variety and depth of Middle Eastern Culture.

June 19th, 2004 Sacred Heart Complex, Knoxville Tennessee 1:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
