The Bay City Rollers to open Downtown Knoxville dance club

Posted on February 7, 2003 by Bjorn Knoxley

The original Boy Band, The Bay City Rollers, have announced plans to open a skating rink/dance club in Downtown Knoxville. Decked out in their trademark tartan gear, they still have the ability to regain teen-idol status.

Much like the 1978 Sid and Marty Krofft television series, The Bay City Rollers will participate in club events and interact with various funny characters and puppets like Munchie and David Keith, as well as taking plenty of time to perform their hits.

Due to the possibility of riots from legions of aging, mostly female fans, the Knoxville Police Department will be on high-alert on opening night. Although alcohol will not be permitted on the premises, juice boxes and apples will be provided with the minimal cover charge.
