Knoxville Lemonade Crimes Division arrests 12 in overnight sting

Posted on July 16, 2011July 16, 2011 by Brehd Patchley

Twelve individuals were arrested for lemonade crimes by the Knoxville Lemonade Crimes Division during a sting operation conducted Friday night in North Knoxville.

Knoxville Police conducted the sting on Virginia Avenue, Beaumont Avenue and Central Street between 8:30p.m. Friday and 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

According to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk, “This puts us on par with other metropolitan areas that are fighting the growing lemonade problem. With any luck, these problem kids will now start producing meth. We have a large department devoted to drug crimes, and we’re far better suited to combat that problem.”

All of the suspects were between the ages of 6 and 12 and were charged with one count of lemonade crimes.
