Freak golf cart accident destroys disputed house on country club

Posted on August 21, 2002 by Bjorn Knoxley

Yves Johnson Yves Johnson was driving his golf cart on Saturday when it veered off the path and careened into the Smith-Coughlin house on Lyons View Pike. A spokesperson from Cherokee Country Club told reporters that the investigation is ongoing, but it appears that the golf cart penetrated the house and then began what could only be described as “doing donuts.” This activity led to the generation of destructive S-Waves (more info), which caused a chain-reaction collapse of the house. No foul play was suspected. The spokesperson later said, “We had just decided to save the mostly non-historic house, but due to this tragic event, we will now proceed with our planned parking lot.”
